A Great End To This Year

December has been busy, but a very fruitful end to 2011.

On December 9th, we watched with the orphans of Orphelinat Universel des Oeuvres Humanitaires a film named: "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". It was very appreciated by the children. But before we watched, we shared the Gospel with the little ones in the orphanage. We taught about "Sin and how they can be delivered from his condemnation". After this teaching, many of the children desired to receive the forgiveness of God from their sins and the Eternal Life. Please read below some testimonies from them after receiving Jesus Christ as Their Lord and Savior:
Roby (8 years old): "I received the Eternal Life and I have delivered me from my sins because God died on the cross for me."
Joseph (12 years old): "I prayed God to purify and forgive me from my sins…"
Sarah (12 years old): "Jesus is a Great person for me because He delivered me from my sins and gave me the Eternal Life."
Ivan (11 years old): "I prayed God to purify me from my sins and give me the Eternal Life and now I became a child of God."
Daniel (11 years old): "I asked God to forgive me from my sins and give me the Eternal Life."
Valdo (7 years old): "Jesus loves me so much, He created me. He delivered me from my sins and gave me the Eternal Life.
Keep praying for them for their spiritual growth. It remains now only three children among them who are not yet saved. Continue to pray that God will work in their lives, and they understand their need to be saved.

On December 11th, we visited again Carolle at Nsam to edify her on the necessity of reading the Bible after her accepting Christ in her life. During this teaching, one of her friend’s named ‘’Gaby’’ was interested to know how to have Eternal life. We stopped this teaching and we shared the Gospel to her and she received Jesus Christ as Her Lord and Savior. After this, we continued our teaching and we promised for the next visit to offer to them Bibles. And we are encouraged about what God done for one of the widows that we visited also there. According to her testimony, she said: ‘’I can conquer the trials of the life because I am trusting God‘’. And she had already begun a trade to provide for the needs of her children. So, pray that God will bless that trade and provide for them.  Keep praying for ‘’Papa Michel’’ (one of the elderly blind man that we visit in Nsam) because he receiving treatment for the prostate disease that he has, so that God can heal him. Pray also for his daily needs.

Finally on December 17, we had picnic with the orphans of Orphelinat Universel des Oeuvres Humanitaires at The National Parc of The Mefou 42 km out of Yaoundé. They enjoyed the excursion because they saw the glory and the greatness of God through the chimpanzees, gorillas and many species of primates that they have never seen.  This trip was also to give them a gift for Christmas that we hope that they will know that they are loved and special.

Praise the Lord for this great end and we hope other great things with Him for 2012.
We wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2012. God bless you richly for this New Year as you can see the opportunities to support us in this great task to share Gospel and physical needs to the peoples that we serve.

Blessings this Holiday Season

Another Month of Harvest

The month of November was another month of harvest.  During our visit to the widows at Nsam on November 13, we had opportunity to share the Gospel with the children of one of these widows (The widow, Elizabeth, who received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior last month).  After sharing the Gospel, one girl among these Children called “Carolle’’ (13 years old) asked us: How to receive Eternal life?  To answer her question, we explained to acknowledge her sin and ask forgiveness of her sins, and beleive that Jesus is the Son of God and only through him we can have salvation.  Then we prayed with her to receive Jesus Christ in her life as her Lord and Savior.

After this prayer, we asked her if she was saved and she answered ‘’yes’’.  Then, we asked another question: Why do you say that you are saved? She answered joyfully to us that Jesus died on the Cross for her sins.  Please pray for her spiritual growth.

A Fruitful Month At Orphelinat Universel Des Oeuvreshumanitaires

The month of October was a fruitful month through teaching of God’s Word and English to the orphans of ORPHELINAT UNIVERSEL DES OEUVRES HUMANITAIRES.

With the young ones (4 – 12 years), of which there are 8 children (4 boys and 4 girls), we have begun a series of teachings from God’s Word called ‘’Lessons of Life‘’. The first lesson spoke about ‘’The Creation‘’ which was followed by coloring drawing of Creation’s histories. The goal of this lesson was to give them a biblical explanation of the Creation. And help them to understand and appreciate the tremendous Power and Goodness of God so that they are encouraged to respect and love Him as they should.  We believe that God is accomplishing this in their hearts.

With the teens, of which there are 3 (1 boy and 2 girls), we have begun a series of biblical lessons from ‘’The Book of Hope‘’ (A publication of Book of Hope International) which speak about topics related to teenagers. The first lesson taught about ‘’The Family‘’. The main goal was for the orphans to see God as a loving Father who wants to save and reconcile them in His Family through repentance and faith in His Son Jesus-Christ. One week after that lesson, one of them, Perkins made the decision to become a child of God. He is the first fruit of ours there, praise God. For the other girls, we have kept asking that God will open the eyes of their hearts so they realize their need to be saved.

Praise God, after the second lesson about ‘’Longing’’ (it taught them to find deliverance from sins only in Jesus-Christ), they (Adele and Michelle) realized their need of salvation and they confessed their sins and prayed to receive Jesus-Christ in their hearts as their Lord and Savior. Here are a few words from Adele testifying of her salvation: ‘’I realized after giving my life to Jesus-Christ that my behavior has changed …’’

Let’s bless the Name of our Lord Jesus-Christ who worked in their hearts through the Holy Spirit.
Let’s pray that God will continue His work, bringing them to the maturity of Jesus-Christ.

‘’To Him who is able to keep them from stumbling and present them blameless before the presence of His glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus-Christ our Lord , be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen ’’.

Bible Study With Elderly

On October 16, we also studied prayer with elderly blind man of more than seventy years named ‘’Michel’’ in the same quarter as the widows. He previously accepted Jesus-Christ as his Lord and Savior and he is a joyful man.

We explain to him the necessity to always come before God in prayer for all his need and to cast all his anxieties on Him. (1 Peter 5:7)

We believe God will care for him (He has vital needs: Food and medications because he has prostate disease).

Bible Study With The Widows

On October 16, we studied the Bible with two widows in one of the poorest quarters of Yaoundé called Nsam. The coincidence is that they have the same name ‘’Elisabeth’’With one of them, we studied on prayer, encouraging her to set her hope on God and continuing in supplications and prayers night and day. (1Timothy 5:5)

With the other widow, we give her a Bible helping her understand her necessity to be saved. After sharing with her the Gospel, she believed in Jesus-Christ for her salvation and she has begun to read her Bible.  Praise God for her salvation!

Let’s pray that they continue to grow in their faith in Jesus-Christ, trusting in Him to care for their children (They have crucial needs: Food, housing, medications, schools fees, and books).

New Partnership with Orphanage

We are excited to share that God has opened a door to begin a new partnership with Orphelinat Universel Des Oeuvres Humanitaires.  They have graciously decided to allow us to begin to visit the orphans and have Bible studies on a weekly basis.  Below are a few pictures of our first visit.
